How it works
Eco - Kids is a weekly club that children attend on a regular basis. The club will be mainly based on an organic farm close to Northampton and most activities will take place outdoors!
They will focus on different areas including Saving Energy, Conserving Water, Preserving Wildlife, Organic Gardening and Farming and lots more.
The children will work hard to achieve 6 different caps, which will be awarded upon completion and proficiency in each specialist area.
As with everything at The Little Green House, fun is at the heart of everything we do and whist they will be picking up valuable skills - many of which are mapped against the national curriculum, they will also make new friend's and discover a wonderful sense of achievement as each new cap they earn shows their commitment and passion to a wonderful cause.
The Caps
There are 7 caps in total including the starter cap. Children can choose which cap they would like to work on and will receive help in completing all of the tasks needed to achieve each cap. Once children have completed all of the caps, we will start to introduce higher level caps.
Children will work as a team with the other children and the grown up helpers to help the achieve each area!
Attendance
Children are advised to attend weekly to get the most out of the sessions.

How long it takes to complete all of the caps
As all children work at their own pace, and as we are working with different age groups, we don't like to set timescales too rigidly. As a general guide we say between 1 - 3 months per cap.
